Program Manager – Product Engineering

Baker Hughes is currently seeking a Program Manager to lead the development, transition and operations of the Product Engineering Process Team within IT to a global matrix organization.
Responsibilities:
· Ability to translate Strategic Goals and Objectives into operational improvement initiatives/projects
· Express relative value of projects through portfolio management techniques
· Ability to organize projects via planning, budgeting, scheduling and periodic status reporting from multiple teams simultaneously
· Executive presence with the ability to clearly articulate Portfolio Status to senior management
· Provides Project and Program Management expertise for all aspects of hardware and/or software technologies for the BHI IT department.
· Oversees IT, engineering and other business personnel involved in multiple simultaneous projects, assuring timely completion, within budget at agreed to level of quality
· Responsible for quality, cost and schedule of project.
· Provide Deputy/Chief of Staff capabilities to the leader a global IT organization (20-30 direct reports) in support of Program Management and New Product Development disciplines within a matrixed engineering environment

Experience Requirements:
· Project Management experience in a multiple project (Program) environment
· Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and maintain improvement initiatives in a Portfolio Management environment
· Diverse IT Systems Support of Electro-Mechanical Design methods, processes, tools and techniques required
· User level knowledge of industry standard project/portfolio management, engineering modeling and data management tools and techniques
· User level experience with various established Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies
· Experience in application of industry best practices and benchmarking
· 10-15+ years of relevant experience
· Energy, Aerospace/Defense Industries experience preferred
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, computer science/math acceptable
· Advanced degree(s) in engineering or the sciences, business, finance, operations management a plus
Other Qualifications:
· PMP certification or the ability to obtain a PMP certification
· PRINCE qualified acceptable
· SEI/CMMI, ITIL qualifications are a definite plus
